YOUTUBE: How can YouTube Trends help someone’s growth in popularity?
Many Youtube creators across the platform are making content for the latest quarantine hit Among Us, a murder mystery game that you can play online with friends. Players are assigned a role as an ‘Imposter’ or ‘Crewmate,’ and they follow the rules of whichever role they get. Crewmates must complete tasks around their spaceship, while the Impostor must try to kill the crewmates and slip away undetected before they can finish their tasks. One of the YouTubers who rode this trend to fame is Corpse Husband, whose popularity dramatically increased due to his Among Us videos.
Before these videos became popular, Corpse Husband was known for telling true scary stories. His most recognizable trait is his low voice, which adds to the ominous atmosphere of his horror story videos. He would take anonymous statements from people with spooky stories to tell, then retell those stories online.
Corpse Husband doesn’t just make YouTube videos — he also creates his own music at home and releases it by himself. He is very expressive with his music and hopes he can reach out to his fans. He is an inspiration to his millions of fans, showing them that they don’t need a contract with a major label to make their own music.
Corpse Husband has also gained a substantial amount of followers on other social media sites, most of whom are teens and young adults. He has never shown his face, but a picture of his hand and that alone got over 700,000 likes on Instagram. On TikTok, people made fake accounts pretending to be him, so when he made an account to address these issues, he quickly gained over 2 million followers on that new platform.
Corpse Husband does a lot for his fans and they do their best to return that favor. Before Youtube Corpse didn’t have much money and was constantly stressed. He then had to deal with two medical conditions, TMJ/TJD (Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction) and GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). Thanks to his wonderful fans’ donations, he has been able to pay off these medical bills, and he can focus more on his content.
Corpse Husband has a very inspiring story and he has helped many of his fans through tough times. His popularity grew once he started playing “Among Us” with other famous YouTubers, who he thanks constantly. Many of his fans are excited to see where his new fame to his career will take him.
