Rockin’: Koston Espiritu (11) is an eclectic artistic and unique model student!

“I lost my tooth in a mosh pit, I love moshing,” expressed Koston Espiritu, a junior at Poly High School. They are a proud member of the Poly High School Music Tech club and are the front person/rhythm guitarist for the Music Techs Indie Rock band. Espiritu (11) has been pursuing music since they were in middle school, starting with basic guitar but has expanded their talents with the bass guitar, drums, and singing and even has a few demos out on their soundcloud ”Koston Espiritu”. ”During quarantine I would jam alone and after that I started to jam with more people really getting my creative groove going”. But that is not the only thing Espiritu (11) aspires to do, although he has a lot of hobbies like music, analyzing films and fashion. They want to go to film school and make films. In fact they have made short films and have uploaded them to their youtube channel “dockoston”.  Espiritu (11) enjoys school for the people there and when he is learning about philosophy or ethics. When given the question” how would you describe Koston?”; good friend Jaidyn Gayman (11) responded sincerely-”Koston is a very caring and sensitive person and probably one of the sweetest souls I have ever met in my entire life”. Some may notice Espiritus’ (11) hair the first time you meet them for its bright and wild colors; they like to express themselves through their hair by alternating the colors every month. Espiritu (11) had mentioned their next hair was going to be skunk themed. Espiritu’s (11) goals for the rest of the school year is to have less late work, perform more, and make more movies. After a long day of school and jamming out with their band they wind down to watch their favorite film What We Do in the Shadows.
