TWINS: Celebrity match-ups to teachers at Poly; are these teachers the spitting image of these icons?
Seeing a celebrity in public is quite a big deal, especially getting the chance of getting a photo with them. But why go out of our way to look out for these big names, when we have their look alikes right here at Poly! When asking students around campus what teachers had similar features to iconic characters and celebrities their answers matched up perfectly there so finding the following teachers long lost “twins”.
Our first look alike is Mr.Portillo, who teaches math. Portillo’s look alike is Tito Lopez from the 2013 animation movie “Turbo,” despite others saying Portillo looks like Mario from Mario Kart as well.

Secondly, we have one of our English teachers and Newspaper Advisor, Mrs.Yeyna. According to many, her long lost “twin” is Reese Witherspoon from the classic “Legally Blonde,” “Wild” and so many more movies and shows. The other look-a-like is Marlee Matlin from “CODA” and many more programs.

Number three is Mr. Aniol, a chemistry teacher here at Poly. Aniol’s look alike seems to be David Sutcliffe, an actor, whose most iconic role was Christopher Gilmore in the classic show of “Gilmore Girls.”

Coming in number fourth is Ms.Llamas our school counselor. Llamas seemed to look like the Disney princess Moana. The long curly hair is identical and the two do look very similar.

Finally we have Sra. Alejo, our History and MECHA teacher at Poly. Alejo’s look-alike is Mirabel from the 2021 Disney movie “Encanto.” With Mirabel’s glasses and curly hair, she really does seem like the character well.
