MATCH: Some of these Poly teachers have found their match in characters in movies and celebrities in the media. Do you see the resemblance?

It is always so intriguing to see someone who looks similar to a famous celebrity or movie character, in a way it could bring those characters to life in such unexpected ways! It has been theorized that everyone in the world has another person who bears an uncanny resemblance to ourselves, even though a lot of us may have trouble finding our dopplegangers. There are others who, by luck or fate, find their lookalike with relatively little effort. Now what better way to share some of these people’s matches than through our beloved Poly staff. Here are some of our Poly teachers who have found their lookalikes. Can you see the similarities?

Mr. Schiller:

Our first double is the one and only Mr.Shiller. He has been told that he looks quite similar to a well known character from the crime series Breaking Bad, a man known as Walter White. A bit ironic when you think about it, since Walter White begins the show as a high school chemist and Shiller happens to also teach chemistry. Although they both work under very different circumstances, the coincidences seem to add. The resemblance is definitely there though through with the Van Dyke beard, a combination of goatee and mustache, rocking it with the shaved heads. How silly of Mr.Shiller to even have an action figure of this masterclass character in his own classroom, in the photo we can even see the two showing how there are twins.  Is there something Mr. Schiller isn’t telling us?

Ms. Knox:

Next, we have our spectacular Ms. Knox, a math teacher at Poly, whose spunky personality and style have led to many comparing her to the iconic character Ms.Frizzle. Being the teacher in the classic cartoon The Magic School Bus, Ms. Frizzle, with her gorgeous red curls, shares features with Ms. Knox. Bright burgundy curls and that optimistic smile are the two things that these two share, helping them to have both captured the hearts of many.

Mr. Bautista:

Mr. Bautista teaches World History and boasts a love for music that spans ALL genres of music. This fits perfectly with his celebrity lookalike. On the left is Larry Hernandez a famous Mexican-American singer songwriter who is known for his unique style of traditional Mexican music that has flavors of modern day American influences. Towards the right is Alfredito Olivas,  another Mexican-American singer songwriter, who is famous thanks to his regional Mexican style of music. Specifically, he specialized in Banda, Mariachi and Pacific Norteño genres. As we can see from the hair color, hairstyle, nose structure, and smiles, Mr. Bautista has clearly found his celebrity twins.

Mr. Snyder:

This is one of my personal favorites. Mr. Snyder teaches math curriculums and is always helping out his students in different ways, making sure that every students gets on the right track. With his extroverted personality, how could he not be compared to the likes Johnny Loughran from the hilarious movie Hotel Transylvania. Sharing similar shades of the distinct auburn-colored haired, both these guys are rocking it with the sunglasses ready to bring fun, whether that be into the classroom or into Hotel Transylvania.

Mr. Bocanegra:

Our Amazing Art teacher Mr. Bocanegra loves making friendships with his students and encouraging kids to illustrate their creative selves through art. One of Mr. B’s favorite movie classics is Inglorious Bast***, a violent movie based on the first year of Germany’s occupation of France. In the movie

the character known as the Bear Jew or Donny Donowitz shares many features with Bocanegra. From the dark hair and facial structure to even his facial expressions, the resemblance is uncanny. Would you be able to tell them apart?

Mr. Dean:

Mr.Dean, the new theatre teacher here at Poly, has been doing an amazing job keeping the theatre program running. When speaking with Dean he told me that in his younger years he was a replica of Anthony Micheal Hall, most famously known for his role of Brian Johnson the brainiac in The Breakfast Club. Mr.Dean may have still even maintained that resemblance over the years. The smile and nose are similar to today.

This wraps up our exploration into the Poly Teacher Twins; do you see the matches? I wonder how many of us have look alikes that we simply haven’t had the chance to meet.
