It is never enough to tell someone that you love them; you have to show it to them. Don’t ask her to take you back, you have to make her feel like she cannot be without you. Don’t simply tell her you are sorry; make her believe you. It is never enough to ask for trust; you have to prove you deserve it. You have to make sure she knows, without a doubt, that you will never consider texting another girl with the intention of cheating. The position you are in right now is not a great place to be. You are going to have to work to make things right. She needs to trust you again. Unless you are able to fully and completely regain her trust, every little speck of doubt that may flutter into her mind will work against you and endanger your relationship. You have to give her reasons to love you. You have to give her reasons to trust you.
Since I do not know you, and I do not know your girlfriend, I cannot give you any specific advice concerning what to do. However, I suggest you sit down and think about what she loves. Make a list of her favorite items, her favorite places or maybe even her favorite foods. It is the little things in life that have the most impact on people. Surprise her; make her feel special and let her know that you are extremely sorry.
On the other hand, if you are not happy in the relationship, end it. Cheating is an improper solution to your problems and should never be your way out. However, you seem to regret texting the other girl so I don’t believe that this is the case for you. Remember to never allow yourself to be tempted into doing something you may regret. Think twice before you act and remember to show her that she should trust you. Do not just ask for it.
