Your question is one that I am sure many people at Poly have and worry about. In light of the recent events and the chaos that followed, it may seem that our school is currently in panic mode. I assure you, this will all blow over soon since there is no way the rebellion will continue to escalate. Why do I say this? Because in the end, the immature students who believe that wreaking havoc upon the school is funny will not win. Every act of rebellion will force the administration to enforce punishments that will only intensify with every incident. This is a battle that the students cannot win, especially when the law and the police force are on the school’s side. I am certain no student would be crazy enough to risk being arrested in order to take a stand against the office. This was perfectly exemplified on Friday, November 9, when the planned water fights and riots did not take place once students realized that police officers were waiting for them. They must have finally realized that a water fight would not be very funny if they had to watch it from the back of a police car. In conclusion, whether they like it or not, students and faculty will have to live together in peace. Students need to accept that the school is the one with all the power, not them. Those that believe that all this chaos is funny need to grow up fast because in the real world, no one is going to tolerate their ignorance.
