Well, at least you are honest with yourself. If this person you are infatuated with feels the same way, you should be honest with him or her too. Tell him or her how you feel, because I am fairly certain no human can read minds. There are plenty of options as to how you can handle this.
How romantic would it be to meet someone and fall in love senior year, run off to college together in a land far, far away and live out your fairy-tale happily ever after? This happy ending may not be common, but it is not impossible. If your special someone prefers not to leave Riverside, know that long-distance relationships are not a complete waste of time. As they say, “Distance makes the heart grow fonder.” Modern technology makes it easier than ever before to keep in touch and stay in love. Thanks to innovations like Skype, Tango, FaceTime, etc., you can see your love in real-time, regardless of time zones (though a lack of wi-fi or data connection can stand in the way). And real, hand-written “snail-mail” letters convey lovey-dovey feelings better than the spoken word. If neither of these appeals to you, you can just date for the remainder of the school year (with a disclaimer of your imminent separation made very clear, so there is no misunderstanding) or you can just remain as friends or acquaintances.
