ASSEMBLE: The culmination of an entire universe.

Avengers: Infinity War is the 19th film in the ever growing Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark (Iron Man), Chris Evans as Steve Rogers (Captain America), Chris Pratt as Peter Quill (Star Lord), and Josh Brolin as Thanos. The story focuses on an all powerful being named Thanos whose goal is to find all six Infinity Stones so that he can wipe out half of humanity. Infinity Stones are the most powerful artifacts in the universe, with each stone controlling an important element of the universe, such as space and time. The Avengers must team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy in order to fight Thanos.
The film made history with its release. Its cast is one of the biggest ever assembled for a blockbuster, featuring A-list talent from Chadwick Boseman to Scarlett Johansson. Never before has been a crossover of so many different movie franchises. Characters from across the universe come together in one massive film. The film received the biggest opening weekend of all time. The movie is meant to celebrate 10 years of Marvel Studios and it does an amazing job, giving every character that contributed to the last ten years an earth shattering moment.
A great way to describe this movie would be perfectly balanced. The Russos did a phenomenal job balancing the characters, action sequences, comedic scenes and heart wrenching moments. The characters are complex, creating a deeper connection to the audience. Especially Thanos who is menacing yet you sympathize with him. The Russos have proven in the past they have a talent for action sequences and they proved it again in this film. Each action scene comes with life ending stakes. You feel with every fight scene that the character you are watching could die. There are dark and light moments within this film that make more enjoyable. Thanos makes the film very dark which, leaves you on the edge of your seat, paralleled by the wit of the film’s heroes. Iron Man, Thor, Spider Man, and Star Lord are some of the funniest characters in the film. The movie is home to some of the most shocking and saddest scenes in the MCU. Most of those scenes will affect fans of the series and the MCU going forward.
Avengers: Infinity War is an unforgettable film. It is an amazing experience that must be had inside a movie theater. If you are a big fan of the Marvel films you will be overwhelmed with joy and if you don’t know much about the past movies you will still have a fun time. Avengers : Infinity War is a fun, heartbreaking, and a brilliant summer blockbuster that is a must watch.
