ACTRESS: Poly freshman Trinity Long discusses her acting roles in TV shows and commercials.

By Kate Santoso, Staff Writer

Every year, thousands of hopeful children audition to be a part of television shows and commercials; however, very few get selected. Poly’s very own Trinity Long (9) has acted in a variety of shows and commercials including Clean and Clear, Jessie, Parks and Recreations and Parenthood.

Ever since Long was young, she has had a passion for acting and participating in numerous school and church plays. “I was confronted by a woman who asked me to join her group of children actors,” Long said. This invitation motivated her to dive into the world of entertainment and acting. Long started taking classes to prepare herself for auditions in 2008  but was not filmed for the first time until 2010. Some of Long’s roles, so far, have included a school kid, a theatre kid, a Plain Jane and a female player on a co-ed baseball team. So far, her favorite role was in Disney Channel’s Jessie because she got to work with Debbie Ryan and other famous stars.

Long plans on becoming a politician but hopes to pursue a career in acting if it does not work out. In addition to her acting career, she is a very well-rounded, busy girl who has been involved in cross country and theatre. Due to her busy schedule, she limits her extra curricular activities to school and is not currently looking for commercial or television opportunities.

To kids nowadays who aspire to be in shows and commercials, Long advises them to look into acting and find talent companies to help them emerge from their shells. The actress has learned throughout her acting experiences that putting yourself out there is not as scary as it seems.
