Game Update: Boys’ Tennis

Mar 28, 2013

28 March 2013

The boys’ tennis team played against fierce competition on Wednesday, March 27 at home against J.W. North.  Despite the intense play, the Huskies took the lead going into the third round, winning 13-5 against the Bears.  With a tough first two rounds of competition, the Bears were able to stay relatively even with North.  Number one singles player Trent Harris (11) battled it out on the court to win two out of his three sets, which were the only sets won for the Bears in singles.  Leading with a total of two sets won were  Casey Elton (11) and Alex Rangel (11).  Winning the fifth set, Garrett MacArthur (11) and Carlos Tejada (10), finished out the day’s play with a nearly successful score.

The Bears next match is away on Friday, March 29 against Vista del Lago at 3:15 p.m.
