Poly boys’ tennis challenged league competitor Rancho Verde on Friday, March 22 at Rancho Verde. Losing in a one sided match against the Mustangs, the Bears played to their full potential despite finishing off the match 6-12. Leading the singles bracket with a two set win against the number two and three singles players on Rancho Verde was Jack O’Kane (10). The Bears’ number two doubles team, Alex Rangel (11) and Hani Jandali (9), won its matches 6-1, 1-3, and 7-6 to complete a successful sweep. Finishing off the doubles bracket was the number one doubles team of Casey Elton (11) and Carlos Tejada (10). After losing 2-4 in each of the three rounds, the Bears plan to compete at a higher level against their next team.
The boys’ next match is away on Friday, March 29 against Vista del Lago.
