The boys’ tennis team battled against Rancho Verde High School in a league match Friday afternoon. Although they competed at a high level, the team failed to pull away with a victory against league competitors, losing in a close match 6-12 at Rancho Verde.
Playing off a recent victory against Valley View High School, winning 16-2 in their 9th match of the season, the team did not play up to their usual standards, lacking their usual lineup due to sickness. Leading the ranks for the tennis team in singles were Jack Schweitzer O’kane (10), Alex Rangel (11), and Hanni Jandali (9). Number one doubles team, Carlos Tejada (10) and Casey Elton (11), fought hard for a one set win.
The bears have a 3-6 league record. Their next match is at Poly Wednesday, March 27 at 3:15 p.m.
