CONTEST: Local businesses come together to host a prom attire giveaway.

With prom right around the corner, one of the biggest issues at hand for juniors and seniors is finding the right dress. This entails trekking all across Southern California, waiting hours in line for a dressing room, only to come up empty-handed, or perhaps having to settle on a dress you’re not entirely in love with. Fortunately, courtesy of a bridal shop in Riverside, a few lucky students could receive the prom experience of their dreams.
Lucia Gonzalez, owner and operator of Dulce Candy Luv and Bridal, reached out to sponsors across California who were willing to help provide students in the Riverside area with the opportunity to win prizes for prom valued up to 1000 dollars. MG Customprinting, Flowers by Ellen Oh, Sophronia’s Day Spa, Luna Azul Studio, Victor’s Tuxedos, ValeriaBeauty, and Photos On a Budget all rose to the occasion, each contributing to making the contest possible. “We are all really excited to make this an unforgettable prom for a lucky few,” Gonzalez remarked.
The grand prize includes one free custom made prom dress, tuxedo rental, hair and makeup done the day of prom, a photo shoot, and various other gifts. First and second place winners will receive one custom made prom dress and one complimentary tuxedo rental, respectively. As for the other seven prize winners, they will receive various prizes such as gift certificates to Dulce Candy Luv and Bridal and Photos on a Budget, or free corsages and boutonnieres.
In order to be eligible for any of these prizes, all students have to do is visit Dulce Candy Luv and Bridal’s website, for instructions on the ten different ways to enter. Entries are due April 1, so if you or anyone you know is interested in participating, get to it! You could be the lucky winner and have the prom experience of a lifetime, without the stress and the cost.
