Poly high school sophomores were treated to a pool party for passing the California High School Exit Exams (CAHSEE). The party took place on June 6, during the students’ fifth and sixth period classes. Those who attended the party scored either a proficient or advanced on their CAHSEE.
The party took place in the newly renovated and remodeled swimming facility. ASB came up with the idea for the pool party and provided food and drinks to all the attendees. The party was thrown as an incentive for students to perform well on these exams in the future.
“The CAHSEE party was such a great time to hangout with friends. I loved the fact that we were rewarded for our hard efforts in school. The party allowed all of the sophomore’s to socialize and truly celebrate our accomplishments this school year,” Erin Kothlow (10) said.
The overall party and concept of rewarding the students for their achievements proved to be a success. “I am looking forward to taking the CAHSEE next year, just for the fact that I will be able to go to a party,” Helen Krieger (9) said.
