Poly 0 Santa Barbara 1
Boys’ Soccer dropped a heart-breaker to Santa Barbara (ranked 12th in the state by Maxpreps.com) to bring a highly successful season to a close yesterday. The team was only the third in Poly history (along with the 1988 and 2000 teams) to go undefeated in the regular season, and the only one in CIF-SS Division 1 to do so. The Bears added an exclamation point to their Inland Valley League title with a 4-2 first round victory over St. John Bosco, but weren’t able to carry their momentum past Santa Barbara and finished the season at 19-1-9.
