Question:
Dear Poly Spotlight Advice,
I have a friend who doesn’t really act like a friend. All she does is talk about problems with her family or about a guy she likes. Whenever I try to tell her something (seeing as I’m reserved and never have much to say in the first place), she feels the need to overshadow my story whether it’s as minuscule as me getting an A on a test or as big as talking to the guy that I like. Even if I tell her that I wish she’d actually pay attention to my story, she agrees but still does it anyways. Do you have any advice on how to deal with this or have you ever been a situation like this yourself?
