The Poly boys’ water polo team was crowned league champs this year. The boys clinched the title with a dominant 16-6 victory over North in their second to last game of the season. The team finished undefeated in league with a 6-0 record and a 16-11 record overall, earning them a berth in the CIF playoffs. Poly defeated Burbank Burroughs 12-5 in their opening game on Wednesday, November 7. Robert Bentley (12), Joey Dempsey (10), Cole Knell (11) and Jonah Saenz (10) all contributed goals in the effort. The team will now play in the quarterfinal match on Saturday, November 10.
