CULTURE: A new season of a favorite show among Poly students brings excitement across campus.
The producers of “Outer Banks”, a Netflix teen drama released in 2020, have announced the release of its 4th season, which has ushered a wave of excitement among Poly students. This popular show’s announcement has inspired many conversations and theories regarding the plot of this new season.
The show follows John B. (Chase Stokes), JJ (Rudy Pankow), Kiara (Madison Bailey), and Pope (Jonathan Daviss), also known as the Pogues. These four young, broke teenagers race to acquire an illusive treasure, one that is highly sought after. Along the way, viewers are introduced to the Kooks, also known as the rich people, such as Sarah Cameron (Madelyn Cline), who eventually must decide between joining this crew or choosing another path. Previous seasons have been filled with mystery regarding these hidden treasures, drama amongst the cast that increases with each season, and valuable lessons about loyalty and friendship, demonstrated through the characters’ persistent love and support of each other.
There are so many different predictions for the direction this show might take in its 4th season. William Tavaglione (11) speculates that “Rafe is gonna get involved and help them find the treasure, and he will get mad at Kiara and try to kill her. But JJ might die saving her. Also, Sarah and John B. are going to have a falling out and then get back together, and the shop is gonna burn down.’’ Others such as Lillian Zeeb (10) believe that “Something’s gonna happen with JJ and Sarah, like them being siblings. They also are gonna get kidnapped by someone, like when they are looking for Blackbeard’s treasure.” Another theory from Olivia McPherson (10) is that “Rose is JJ’s mom. Pope and Cleo are gonna get together I think. Oh! And JJ’s gonna die.” The only way to find out if these theories will come true is to watch season 4 of “Outer Banks” on Netflix – So get ready for another amazing season to binge this fall!
