IMPRESSIVE: Future UCLA Bruin with bright future.
Katelyn was a cross country captain who started off her senior year strong by training everyday with her cross country team, and played a major role in winning the division 1 league with an outstanding 12-0 record. She didn’t stop there, she continued to help her team through CIF preliminaries and semifinals. She eventually led her team all the way to CIF finals, which was the first time Poly Girls Cross Country went to CIF finals in over 25 years. This is one of the many accomplishments of her senior year.
After a very challenging senior year, Katelyn Michel worked very hard for her impressive 4.6 gpa this year. With this amazing achievement she will be attending UCLA in the fall to major in computer engineering. “I also intend to minor in art in hopes of ultimately working in the animation industry”, explained Michel. She is very excited to attend UCLA in the fall, and her friends and family are very proud of her for being accepted into a high level school after some tough years of COVID-19.
Katelyn’s senior highlight is her 18th birthday party where she got to dress up with her friends and family and enjoyed a night full of special memories. She looks forward to attending prom with her friends and finishing her senior year with a league championship title in track and field. Katelyn hopes to get a personal record in her mile to end her senior year with a bang. Katelyn has accomplished many achievements through her high school career and we wish her the best in college. She will be missed dearly.
