PRIDE: ASB President, Maggie Roemer (12), truly bleeds green and orange.

Passionate is probably the easiest word to best describe our ASB President. Even someone who is not that close to her can see all the hard work and creativity that flows out of Maggie, but her love for ASB didn’t start here at Poly. She had first joined when attending STEM Academy, but this was just the beginning for our President. She rose through the ranks from starting out as a Justice of the Court, to where she is now. Roemer states, “this year I am ASB President, which has definitely had its ups and downs, but in the end has made me realize this is what I truly want to do in life. Like planning upscale events, I feel it’s what I am good at and what I like doing the most.”

Maggie’s hobbies aren’t just limited to ASB, but extend far beyond that by being a part of Mock Trial and being a Varsity Tennis player. With her high school chapter coming to a close, she will start a new era by joining the UCLA Bruins. Even with Maggie leaving,, she emphasizes that her spirit won’t be leaving her. “I am also a person who likes to immerse myself in the school spirit of whatever school I am attending. So here, I bleed green and orange! I am a bear for life! Go Poly! And when I go to UCLA, I assume I will be the exact same way!”

Maggie has asked it be noted that she does not see herself as “the backbone of Poly’s Senior Class,” but does seem to appreciate the honoring title I have given her. We can all hope to see nothing but the best for our ASB President. So with that, cheers to Maggie Roemer (12) and all the good things coming to her!
