EXCITEMENT: Poly Boy’s Volleyball teammates work together to have a great season.

The boy’s volleyball team has recently started their season. Dana Fulwider, head coach for Poly Volleyball, can’t wait to see the team improve to its highest potential. Fulwider has been coaching co-ed volleyball for 29 years, including three years at Poly, and the upcoming boys season has her excited to coach again after a successful girls volleyball league championship win. Fulwider explains, “they really want to learn. Everyday they just want to get better and better and better.” She is “very excited to see how much better we get by the end of the season.” Team captains Khoi Le (12) and Noah Thetford (11) have high hopes for the rest of the season as well. “I’m confident we will improve a lot, and have a great season,” Le says. “Even with the short amount of time we’ve played together,” Thetford states, “I am positive that this season will be fun and I’m confident in my teammate’s abilities.”

After watching them play and practice together, one can see how driven they are to succeed. Their last game on Tuesday sadly ended in a loss, but their consistency and styles of playing are really improving. This team is dedicated, and they continue to try their best to reach the main objective: keep the ball in the court. The Poly Boys Volleyball team is sure to have a great season! Come support our Poly Boys Volleyball team at their next home game against Tahquitz High School on Tuesday, March 29 at 3:15.
