PERFORMANCE: Poly theater students work toward the opening of a magnificent show.
The rehearsals for the upcoming musical at Poly High, “Once upon a mattress”, have begun and the cast is trying their best to practice while Covid-19 is still a threat to consider. “Producing a full-scale musical in the Covid world is challenging!” Mr. Markermorse, the head of the theater department, explained. Mrs Walton, the student directors, choreographers, stage managers and techs have been doing an amazing job at putting everything together to make the show more entertaining and enjoyable. This includes many seniors- Jordan Arcos, Mitchell Babcock, Quinn Velez-Pollard, Camryn Cobb, Jude Lamb, Chad Saylor, Jerden Patillo, Chloe McCain, Elisa Rose Gomez and Aly Kraft. They have also had the help of the technical expertise of seniors Betty Calderon, Aaliyah Artry, Andrew Callow, Kaitlyn Mann, and Lourdes Buan. Mr. Markermorse has been working tirelessly to setup the PolyWood Bowl for the show. There are many talented performers in this production. Come and see “Once Upon a Mattress,” at the PolyWood Bowl stage from October 14th- 17th at 3:30 and 7:30!
