PLAY BALL: Poly High School’s baseball team has started their 2019 season and is working harder than ever.

As spring season approaches, Poly baseball aspires to reverse their fortune and make a run back into the 2019 CIF competition. Having success in past years, the baseball team wants nothing more than to reach the peak of their potentiality to achieve even more than before.

Poly’s baseball team hosted their first game against Temecula Valley High School on February 12, kicking off their season with a 4 to 3 win. The team possesses the confidence to advance to the final rounds of CIF and be champions. “I think we will be CIF champions, without a doubt, and I think we will dominate league,” Beau Betten (11) states. Playing with their hearts in their hands, these boys also train a great deal outside of the everyday baseball practices. One of the biggest components of their training is gaining physical strength, which is accomplished by spending ample time in the weight room. Practicing everyday after school has enabled the team to develop tight bonds, bringing them comfort in knowing that they all have each other’s backs on and off of the field. Along with this close-knit atmosphere, the team gets heavy support from students and staff, who take interest and concern in their success.

By spending a great deal of time with each other, the baseball team has developed meaningful relationships, facilitating the growth of joy and team spirit. Best of luck to boys baseball this season.
