VALOR: Although the cross country teams were made up of young athletes, the teams were able to maintain their strong reputation.

Both the boys’ and girls’ varsity cross country teams had fairly successful seasons. With the hard work put in throughout the year, both teams put themselves in good positions to compete against the rest of their league. In their first and second league meet, the boys placed 4th and the girls placed 2nd. In the third league meet however, the boys placed 3rd and the girls tied for 1st. The boys’ team was able to take 3rd overall in their league and make it to CIF-Prelims, which is relatively good considering the team consisted mainly of young athletes who were new to varsity. The girls’ team was fortunate enough to secure a league champion title, for the first time in Poly history.
